Every year, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and other mental health organizations and individuals across the U.S. and around the world raise awareness of suicide prevention during September, National Suicide Prevention Month. On Friday, September 17th the Columbiana County Suicide Prevention Coalition will host a suicide prevention awareness walk around the Dickey Drive Circle in Lisbon starting at 11:30am. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT RETRAT REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!

It's a GREAT day when a vision becomes reality!!! 🎉 The Women's Empowerment Retreat registration opens TODAY! Our women in Columbiana County are in crisis and we're here to help empower them! This is for the woman who was abused (physically, mentally & emotionally), this is for the one who doesn't believe she has anything to offer, this is for the one who has contemplated suicide, the one who has lost a child, the one who is having a difficult time navigating life, the one who silently suffers with depression and cries herself to sleep at night, the one who is on the edge of having a break down, it's for all the women who have been used and discarded leaving feelings of emptiness and loneliness, the ones who are carrying past trauma and for all the women in between. This event is designed to EQUIP and EMPOWER ALL. OF. YOU. TO STEP INTO YOUR POWER!!! We will provide information, offer support and connect you with resources to help you live your best life.

A Picture Perfect Moment

A Picture Perfect Moment

You know those moments that you swear you'll never forget? This was the most touching and beautiful moment, in our opinion, from Family Recovery Center's 2021 Youth Leadership Camp. This photo was taken at the conclusion of a relay race that challenged students both physically and mentally to work together to complete. The blue team experienced some adversity during this event that caused them to be the last team to finish the race. These teammates rallied around their leader who declared that if they were going to come in last, they were going to do it together and they linked arms and crossed the finish line together. To us, it didn't matter what rank the teams were in - the blue team REALLY gets what it means to be a leader. Even in the face of adversity, you don't abandon your team. #LeadershipisInfluence

Youth Leadership Camp

Youth Leadership Camp

It was such an honor to work with Family Recovery Center's Education Department for their 2021 Youth Leadership Camp this week. We went to Elkhorn Valley Christian Service Camp in Bergholz, Ohio for 4 days. During this time we trained and equipped high school students in Columbiana County's Youth Coalition to be leaders among their peers. We listened to guest speakers, David Kohout and Markus McFolling, had team building activities, enhanced our skills and built our character. These students will take this training back to their schools and communities to do things such as drug and alcohol abuse prevention, mental health awareness and community service. It was such an inspiring and uplifting week! #LeadershipisInfluence
